Swallowtail Federation - About Us
Swallowtail Swallowtail About Us About Us We are a family of three small schools situated in the heart of the Broads. Each of our schools has a wonderful family feel where the children are nurtured by dedicated staff. The individual attention they receive enables our children to become confident and capable learners. With friendship, trust and kindness we fly! 'Love your neighbour as yourself,' Mark 12:30-31 Our federation is a family, strengthened by our collaboration and relationships. By showing friendship, trust and kindness we flourish together and as individuals. The Swallowtail butterfly represents our unique location and the high aspirations we have for all pupils, allowing them to ‘fly’ and live ‘life in all its fullness’. Our schools are in extensive grounds, and we take full advantage of this with regular outside learning opportunities. Swallowtail Federation - Our Vision
Swallowtail Swallowtail Being a Church Academy Our Vision Our Vision With friendship, trust and kindness we fly! (Love your neighbour as yourself) Mark 12:31 At the Swallowtail Federation all pupils are treated as individuals, with compassion and with the upmost respect knowing that they are created in the image of God. We acknowledge that ‘the ultimate worth of each person is shown in the Gospels through His teaching, healing, feeding, sharing hospitality, befriending, and forgiving’ (Church of England, Vision for Education, Pg11) Our federation is a family, strengthened by our collaboration and relationships. By showing friendship, trust and kindness we flourish together (love your neighbour) and as individuals (love yourself). The Swallowtail butterfly represents our unique location and the high aspirations we have for all pupils, allowing them to ‘fly’ and live ‘life in all its fullness’. Love your Neighbour - Swallowtail is a federation of schools with a family outlook. We ensure all pupils, staff and family members are made to feel welcome and special when they enter our schools. Many family events are planned throughout the year and are attended well. ‘Each school is to be a hospitable community that seeks to embody an ethos of living well together.’ (Church of England, Vision for Education, P.11). We recognise the crucial role we play in our villages and actively look for opportunities to work alongside and support others in our communities. Our curriculum ensures we learn about the diverse wider world that we are blessed to live in. Love Yourself - At the Swallowtail Federation all pupils are treated as individuals, with compassion and with the upmost respect. The culture in our schools is embedded in this, empowering children to see the very best in themselves and believing in their potential. We acknowledge that 'the ultimate worth of each person is shown in the Gospels through His teaching, healing, feeding, sharing hospitality, befriending and forgiving' (Church of England, Vision for Education, p,11). Vision song "Together". Out of the Ark We chose our Vision song because it reflects the friendships we have in our Federation family and how by working together and learning from each other we can fly and be our very best.
