Welcome | Bedgrove Junior School
Welcome Home Our School Welcome Welcome. We hope you find everything you need on this website. However, if you would like further help then please do not hesitate to call the school office where we would be happy to assist you with any enquiries that you have. I am immensely proud to be the Headteacher of Bedgrove Junior School. I believe Primary school should be about curiosity into as many different areas of the curriculum as possible. At Bedgrove Junior, we pride ourselves on our amazing curriculum, brilliant teaching and the fantastic opportunities that we give our children. Bedgrove is a unique four form Junior School with 120+ pupils in each year group. The large year groups means we have great collaborations between teachers where they plan together to share best practice. We are also very proud to be part of the Great Learners Trust where we benefit from working collaboratively with a number of local schools. The staff at Bedgrove Junior regularly go to other Trust schools to help improve the teaching and learning of all pupils from around the GLT. The children at Bedgrove Junior are amazing! They are polite, hardworking students who have fostered a love of learning and whose behaviour is exemplary through the high standards of expectations set of them. Our behaviour for learning policy allows our children to grow and self-regulate through encouraging them to take ownership of their behaviour. Through our behaviour rules of ‘Be ready, Be respectful, Be Safe,’ we promote children to be happy citizens of the school and the wider community. Bedgrove Junior School was last formally inspected by OFSTED in June 2023. During this inspection the school was graded as a good school, with two areas of Outstanding in Personal development and Behaviour and attitudes where; "Children have excellent attitudes to learning, seeking to make positive contributions whenever possible". (OFSTED June 2023). We base our learning and experiences through our values of Inspire, Challenge and Succeed and through these values we provide the best possible education for the children at Bedgrove Junior. An ongoing good relationship with all stakeholders is extremely important. We have an open door policy where the SLT will be on the gate at drop off and pick up and teachers will be at their doors to answer any questions you may have. I look forward to meeting you soon.
