Hawes Primary School

Hawes Primary School, located in the picturesque Yorkshire Dales National Park, is a small, mixed academy serving 52 pupils across three classes: Early Years Foundation Stage, Lower Key Stage 2, and Upper Key Stage 2. The school is part of the Yorkshire Collaborative Academy Trust (YCAT), which enhances its educational offerings through collaboration with a network of nine schools. This partnership allows for shared resources, expertise, and opportunities for joint activities, particularly beneficial for rural communities.

The school prides itself on fostering a supportive learning environment where every child is encouraged to be both a leader and a learner. Currently, 9% of students have English as a second language, 9% receive pupil premium support, and 11% are on the Special Needs Register, reflecting the school’s commitment to inclusivity and tailored support for diverse learning needs.
