Welcome to Thorpepark Academy At Thorpepark we celebrate the diversity of all children and cultures. Our academy is a welcoming, happy, caring place where we promote spiritual, moral, social, and cultural capital. We work hard to ensure that our children enjoy learning, achieve their potential and appreciate the differences that make us all unique’. We believe that our children deserve a curriculum that is inspiring, creative and provides the opportunities to achieve their full potential. Our goal is to make them lifelong learners and to prepare them well for the next stage in their learning journey. Our motto ‘Aiming High’ reflects the standards we expect for all learners. We undertake this by providing a learning framework that reflects the National Curriculum and is broad, balanced and meets the needs of all learners. We encourage enterprise in our curriculum to prepare pupils for the world of work, and we are proud of the many effective partnerships that we share not only in the local community but also in the city of Hull and across the region. Parents, carers, and everyone in the local community are invited to be part of our academy and to share in our mission to TELL THE WORLD. Mrs Caroline Knight – Executive Principal online safety academy info lunch menu Thorpepark 50 head boy & girl term dates Project: We Are Orchard Park The We Are Orchard Park Project set out to explore themes of home, belonging and community pride through creative engagement with local people of different generations. With a focus on young people and older residents, the project delivered a series of creative sessions in schools and care homes across Orchard Park estate, working closely with artists Chiedu Oraka, Joe Sheehan, Harriet Jones, and other local collaborators. The project sparked conversations around personal safety, pride of place and community care, celebrating what it means to grow up and grow older in Orchard Park. Through 20 creative sessions and three original films, the project provided people with space to reflect on their lived experiences and share what ‘home’ means to them.
