If you turn up late you can get a detention for it yet teachers constantly turn up late anyway. The staff either don't know the content well enough, either have 'favourites' in the class and focus on the 'favourites' and leave the less talented feeling un inspired and having no confidence! On several occasions my daughter has come home feeling upset due to teachers criticising her work in front of the entire class.
