We are an inner-city school, a very good school with circa 1300 students serving one of the most deprived wards in Europe. We have our own working farm and outdoor education centre, an hour away, we have extensive sports, arts, music and extracurricular programmes. Increase sixth form numbers and expand the curricular offer, in the sixth form, to include vocational courses particularly associated with Esperance Farm and Island Pool Outdoor Centre. We know that life is not linear and we want to prepare students for the challenges of life. We develop students’ character through a vibrant and exciting curriculum including assemblies, collective worship and established links with faith partners. RE is a core subject for all students which helps them to explore the paradoxes and mysteries of faith and life, we believe it is important to contribute to their spiritual development, their Religious Literacy and their resilience.
