Many times I felt the organisation was almost trying to indoctrinate me and my fellow students through power, strange propaganda-like assemblies on how great the school\/leaders were, and the excessive, unnecessary control exerted over us, and my psyche became incredibly warped. It pushed my mental health so close to collapse that I am utterly surprised I made it to the end of high school. These impacts are longstanding and still greatly affect my life years on. It is incredibly difficult to put into words my disdain for The Farnley Academy, the Gorse Trust and its figureheads. Children should not be treated like products, controlled to prison like extents or made to feel like animals, yet they continue to be. Education should not be a business, we are people and just because someone cannot work within stringent formulaic structures, does not mean they should be cast aside. Many times I felt the organisation was almost trying to indoctrinate me and my fellow students through power, strange propaganda-like assemblies on how great the school\/leaders were, and the excessive, unnecessary control exerted over us, and my psyche became incredibly warped.
