Headteacher's Welcome - St Bernard's High School
Home About Us » Headteacher's Welcome Headteacher's Welcome Headteacher's Welcome Welcome to St Bernard’s High School. It is a great privilege to serve as Headteacher of St Bernard’s — a highly successful bilateral school with a vibrant and thriving mixed Sixth Form. I am immensely proud to lead such a dedicated and welcoming community, deeply rooted in Catholic values and the rich traditions of the Bernardine Sisters. Our school has a distinguished history, dating back to 1875, with the Bernardine Sisters formally establishing St Bernard’s in 1910. These strong foundations continue to shape our identity today. The Bernardine ethos is woven into every aspect of school life, creating a unique environment where faith, learning, and personal growth flourish together. At St Bernard’s, our Catholic faith lies at the heart of all we do. Guided by our mission statement “Love one another as I have loved youâ€, we uphold the core values of respect, service, and justice. We believe that every child is a unique individual, and we are committed to helping each student discover and develop their God-given talents within a nurturing, supportive environment. Our staff are passionate, talented, and wholly dedicated to our students’ academic success and personal development. We offer a rich and creative curriculum that inspires curiosity and instils a lifelong love of learning. High quality teaching and a stimulating learning environment ensure that students are both challenged and supported, enabling them to thrive. We set high expectations for all our students, encouraging them to work hard, take pride in their achievements, and grow into confident, compassionate individuals. Our aim is for each student to leave St Bernardâ
