Some teachers are okay but the majority of them absolutely have bias for and against certain students. Pastoral 'care' is an absolute joke. They do not care about the students they care about statistics and if that child isn't making them look better, they may as well not be there. They do not care about mental health, invisible disabilities or general struggles among students, all that matters to them is the grades. The expectations of the students was too ridiculous there was no support for any student whatsoever. The staff there seem to be the most horrible people ever, and if you're not someone who can show potential of being famous or bettering their image, you're cast aside like a social outcast, it's disappointing. My whole experience there was very depressing and had a serious impact on my mental health to this day. Please, save your child the mental anguish and find another school. On visiting it we quickly came to realise just how outstanding accademically shotton hall is and on compassion there was none .
