Roman Fields

Roman Fields Academy is a pupil referral unit located in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire, catering to a mixed-gender population of 42 students, exceeding its capacity of 40. The academy focuses on providing tailored educational support for pupils with diverse needs, fostering an inclusive environment that encourages personal growth and confidence. The ethos of the school revolves around enabling students to believe in themselves, develop aspirations, and unlock positive futures through collaborative efforts with families and the wider community.

The academy has received recognition for its high standards, achieving an "Outstanding" rating from Ofsted in 2019 and winning the National Autistic Society's Excellence Award in 2018. Roman Fields aims to bridge gaps in knowledge and social skills, helping students overcome barriers to learning while preparing them for future transitions. In addition to its core educational offerings, Roman Fields Academy is expanding its provisions by establishing a new free school for pupils with complex needs, set to open temporarily on-site in September 2023 and permanently in September 2024.
