Folville Primary - About us
Home About us About us Folville Junior School is a busy multicultural school in the heart of Braunstone in Leicester City. The school community includes a wide variety of children from different backgrounds. Many of our families have been in the area for generations and have attended Folville, while others are new to the local community and often new to the UK. As of October 2024, 37 languages are spoken at Foville. Opened in 1939, initially as a Girls' Secondary School, Folville has a unique charm and character. Above all, it is a welcoming community that aims for all children to thrive and achieve their potential. Our ethos of 'Together We Succeed' reflects our commitment to working together as a community to achieve our best. Please enjoy our website and contact our office if you would like any more information.

Folville Primary - Welcome
Home About us Welcome Welcome Mrs Claire Cooke I want to welcome you to Folville Junior School. Folville is a multi-cultural primary school in the heart of the Braunstone Community. It is in a beautiful 1930s building that was originally a girls’ secondary school before becoming a Junior School in the 1970s. Folville has served the Braunstone community for many years and has welcomed generations of families and new families to the local area. We are an ‘engaging and joyful school’ where our children ‘behave well and have lovely manners’. It is a warm, nurturing, and inclusive school where every child is able to feel safe, respected, and valued. All of our staff are committed to providing the absolute best for all our children. They provide exciting and engaging opportunities for children to thrive. Reading is at the heart of our school and you will always find our children enjoying excellent quality books or choosing from our library. The love for reading is shown in our children’s outcomes and the joy they show when talking about books. We have an extremely strong extra-curricular music programme with high-quality performances throughout the year and fantastic opportunities for learning across the curriculum. The majority of our children attend Imperial Avenue Infant School before coming to us in year 3 and we have close relationships with them to ensure the absolute best for children in their primary years. We look forward to welcoming you to our school. Mrs Claire Cooke Head Teacher ‘an engaging and joyful school’ Ofsted 2020
