I started the school in year seven(2011) as a timid and academically shy student I left with skills enabling me to shine and excel at college not only academically by socially. The schools teaching staff are beyond committed and set a level of discipline that facilitates a high level of success in everything the school does. The pastoral support I received at PGHS was also outstanding; the well-being\/ALS staff being attentive and specifically informed to the needs of each pupil. The transition from Primary to High school was one I was especially impressed with as I smoothly was able to do things more independently without feeling I was thrown in at the deep end. Although I left year 11 with 10 GCSE'S A*-B I received so much more than a good academic profile, the skills transferred and the social skills I gained were what I valued the most. With it being an all girls school, the specific emphasis on a whole body\/ community gives the school a friendly yet equal opportunity feel; allowing pupils of all abilities to be pushed to their full potential. I started the school in year seven(2011) as a timid and academically shy student I left with skills enabling me to shine and excel at college not only academically by socially. The schools teaching staff are beyond committed and set a level of discipline that facilitates a high level of success in everything the school does. The pastoral support I received at PGHS was also outstanding; the well-being\/ALS staff being attentive and specifically informed to the needs of each pupil. The transition from Primary to High school was one I was especially impressed with as I smoothly was able to do things more independently without feeling I was thrown in at the deep end. Although I left year 11 with 10 GCSE'S A*-B I received so much more than a good academic profile, the skills transferred and the social skills I gained were what I valued the most. With it being an all girls school, the specific emphasis on a whole body\/ community gives the school a friendly yet equal opportunity feel; allowing pupils of all abilities to be pushed to their full potential.
