Young People's Education Centre

Young People's Education Centre (YPEC) is a pupil referral unit located in Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire. As a Community Interest Company, YPEC is dedicated to supporting children and young people in developing personal skills and attributes that empower them to make positive and healthy choices. The centre focuses on providing a safe and nurturing environment for students who may be vulnerable or have been excluded from mainstream education.

The curriculum at YPEC includes training and workshops in Relationships, Sex and Health Education (RSHE) and Personal, Social, Health and Economic (PSHE) education. These programmes aim to equip students with essential life skills and promote healthy behaviours. YPEC also engages with seldom-heard community groups, ensuring that the voices of all young people are represented and heard.

In addition to educational support, YPEC conducts research and data analysis to improve service delivery and outcomes for its students. The team, led by experienced consultants, is committed to fostering a supportive community that prioritises the well-being and development of young people in the region.
