Tudor Primary School - Our Mission Statement and Vision
Our vision: Enabling Dreams, Inspiring Minds, Building Futures Our mission statement: Together we create a happy and caring community where all our children love to learn and want to achieve Tudor Primary School continues to grow and evolve. Our school now has a pupil roll of approximately 440 children and our reputation as a successful school is very pleasing: interest and applications for spaces is high and we continue to be well over-subscribed. This is just one of many indicators of the positive feeling about our school in the local area and further afield. Some of the changes at Tudor Primary are easier to see than others. Whilst changes to the building as well as the staff team are clearly evident, there are also adjustments to approaches in how the curriculum is presented to the children. An example of this is our Tudor Thematic Curriculum and how it evolves to ensure that children are able to benefit from quality learning experiences that all children are able to engage in. Another important part of our school that has been transformed is our governing board. A major part of this development was a ‘Governance Review’ . Included in this process was the formulation and setting of a clear vision for Tudor Primary as well as the creation of a mission statement that encompasses all that we want in our school. We hope our website is able to evidence the high quality provision that EVERY member of the Tudor community can benefit from. We take great pride in sharing with you our school mission statement and vision for Tudor Primary School. Our vision: Enabling Dreams, Inspiring Minds, Building Futures Our mission statement: 'Together we create a happy and caring community where all our children love to learn and want to achieve' Mrs Susannah Arje- Chair of Governors Mr Rob Weightman- Headteacher

Tudor Primary School - Values
VALUES Ensuring that we are committed to being true members of our local, national and world community. Values based Education (VbE) At Tudor Primary School it is our aim to raise standards by promoting a school ethos that is underpinned by core values. These values support the development of the whole child as a reflective learner within a calm, caring, happy and purposeful atmosphere. At Tudor, we give regular thought to how values can be used to support the child as a reflective learner and promote quality teaching and learning. You can also view our SMSC (Spiritual, Moral, Social, Cultural) policy here. Look at how we link key British Values to our learning at Tudor: Value of the month Each month we focus on one specific value that we feel is important in enabling children to become caring and responsible citizens (these can be viewed at the bottom of this page). We will also add this value as a news item each month to keep you updated and reinforce this value at home. Children who were nominated by their teachers, peers or parents/carers from home, who showed the value of Independence for July were: Ariana, Alfie, Amelia, Eliza, Arthur (Year 1); Blair, Jason, Thomas, Chanelle, Daniel, Zac, Ruben (Year 2); Albie, Willow, Emilia, Adrian, Jaxson, Lily (Year 3); Betsy, Sarissa, Finn, Akayla (Year 4); Olivia, Summer Jane, Darci, Rocco, Chanel (Year 5); Piper, William, Leo, Anthony, Dev (Year 6). A huge well done to those children! The value for this September is Courage. We will be working hard to demonstrate and celebrate this value through all we do this month. We always love to hear positive stories of the impact of our work together, both at home and at school. Please send a note in to your child’s class teacher or the school office, and they will pass anything on to me – Iâ€â
