My brother to this day has a slight mental block when it comes to numbers.\n\nBully Ganner is no doubt no longer with us but if he was he should hang his head in shame in respect of the totally unacceptable behaviour and fear he subjected my brother to.\nI have very little doubt that other pupils must also have endured Ganner's bullying and intimidation.\nI myself was not in Bully Ganner's class but i was acutely aware of his evident sadistic ways. I recall his that his school yard whistle had a big knot tied in the end of it which he used to strike pupils heads with, he called it The Dominoosh, go figure!\nBully sadistic Ganner was an absolute disgrace to his profession and should not have been allowed anywhere near school children.\n\nI would be interested to hear if anyone else has any past experience of this thoroughly nasty man.","languageCode":"en"},"originalText":{"text":"I went to this school back in the early 70's, i left in 1976 and went on to The Grange.\nMy brother also attended this school and left in 1979.\nI was sat with my brother last night (May 22nd 2018) and we were tripping down memory lane as one does.\nHe told me how a teacher called Mr. Ganner made his life a misery for the year that he was in his class. Mr. Ganner would pull the side of my brother's hair close to his temple where it hurts the most when he would answer a maths question wronly.\nMy brother was literally terrified of this big bully of a teacher.\nI have often wondered over the years why my brother didn't do that particularly well at mathematics at school and it turns out that a certain Mr. Ganner played a significant part in this. My brother to this day has a slight mental block when it comes to numbers.\n\nBully Ganner is no doubt no longer with us but if he was he should hang his head in shame in respect of the totally unacceptable behaviour and fear he subjected my brother to.\nI have very little doubt that other pupils must also have endured Ganner's bullying and intimidation.\nI myself was not in Bully Ganner's class but i was acutely aware of his evident sadistic ways.
