Manley Park Primary School - Head's Welcome
Home About Us Head's Welcome Head's Welcome It is a pleasure to welcome you to our school website. Manley Park Primary School is a community I am incredibly proud of and grateful to belong to. This is a place where everyone supports each other by exemplifying our values: compassion, responsibility, respect, patience, positivity and understanding. As headteacher, I am supported by a team whose dedication, energy and talent are inspiring. Together, we aim to provide an education and environment which supports and enriches the lives of all our pupils. Our relationships are based on mutual respect, and we believe that our pupils have much to offer the leadership of the school. Our aim for the future of Manley Park Primary School is to continue to build on the things we do well to give our pupils memorable, meaningful learning experiences in a happy and safe environment. We have a strong emphasis on personal development and offer excellent pastoral care. We understand, more now than ever, the importance of health and wellbeing. We hope to inspire our pupils to uncover new interests through our broad curriculum and rich extracurricular offer. We promise to provide opportunities to nurture and develop pupils' talents, their sense of self and their understanding of the wider world. Through their time spent with us, we are confident that children will leave us equipped with self-confidence and resilience, along with the skills and knowledge to contribute positively to their communities. As a family, if you are considering Manley Park Primary School for your child, I encourage you to visit. We would love to welcome you on one of our regular school tours so that you can understand more about us. Sarah-Jane Henderson Headteacher

Manley Park Primary School - Values & Ethos
Home About Us Values & Ethos Values & Ethos Together we aim to provide an education and environment which supports and enriches the lives of all our children, enabling them to be the best that they can be. We strive to nurture individuals on their unique journeys by providing a welcoming, safe and stimulating learning environment. We love that our pupils bring different experiences, interests and strengths to share with each other. As a team of staff we take our inspiration from our pupils, whose ideas, knowledge and passion drive us to be the best that we can be too. The school’s six values permeate all that we do: RESPECT, RESPONSIBILITY, PATIENCE, UNDERSTANDING, COMPASSION AND POSITIVITY. Adults and children exemplify these values. Academic progress and success is integral to everyday practice. We combine this with a curriculum that develops positive local and global citizens, and we pride ourselves on the understanding and positive relationships we have throughout the school. To become responsible citizens, pupils need to learn to be accountable: accountable for their learning and their behaviour. Children interact with adults continuously throughout lessons by consistent use of Assessment for Learning tools. Children use whole school talk prompts to support and challenge one another’s thinking. We value ‘partial thinking’ and we want to promote and celebrate it. We believe children need to learn in an environment where they can take risks and ask for support. If you would like to visit our school to see our values and ethos in practice please feel to contact the school.
