I go to the skl and the students they bare safe, the teachers are very nice and helpful, I think if dr Atkins is changed a lot of changes and improvements will happen in the school because you just can't spend 32 years doing changes, all the changes you thought about doing u already done it. Literally there is detentions for everything like if you are not wearing your blazer in the playground during lunch time u can get a detention, if your late to skl u get a detention and you have to do your finger print so they can catch you if you don't come for the detention, basically it's similar to North Korea. Sadly the current OFSTED report gives the school a very bad reputation, there's an element of racial profiling in the report. As mentioned in the report, there are more than average students who don't speak English as their first language. This is simply not true, the majority of students at Caterham DO speak english as their first language, it seems as the OFSTED inspector must have been very overwhelmed with the non white students at this school. The only other reason I can think of is, the report has been written in such a way where it deters white parents to send their child\/ren to this school. IMHO, Caterham is a decent school , I would recommend all parents in the local area and ares afar to consider this school. The location and facilities at the school are very good. I, as a parent chose Caterham over Beal High School, we had the option for either, my main reason for sending my child to Caterham was , the students. We parked outside Caterham at the end of each day and noticed that the student were very smart and not hanging around the school looking anti social, we had done this over a few random days. Beal High Schools was very anti social IMO. The education level is very good, as my child is doing very well at Caterham.
