So it has a history that the school is proud of despite the change of status. In fact it reminded me of my old school that I attended as a boy; as did the musicians Sting and Neil Tennant (Pet Shop Boys). Academically it's one of the better schools in the area however if your son gets on the wrong side of the staff you may as well start looking for a new school unless he makes a tremendous effort to change their attitude. My son was no angel but the methods they used to get him out of the school were sneaky and underhand. This manifest itself when he was accused of swearing at a teacher in Old Street station. However when she saw him she had no idea who he was and had never seen him before. Despite this the accusation stuck and he was then targetted and accused of everything and anything the staff could come up with if a black kid was involved. Being a stupid young lad he started living up to the reputation they gave him and this resulted in him being excluded indefinitely. Note he was not expelled as this would have been something we could have appealed. He remained on their list of students until he eventually left education after he was home schooled. And that money could go to equipment and others for the school. But the kids need to fix their attitudes and need to stop acting like bad men. Or what they call from the hood. A bunch of wannabees.
