Applications for the 2025 to 2026 academic year are now closed.
The bursary funding guidance is for providers who will offer pre-service initial teacher education (ITE) services for the 2025 to 2026 academic year.
It explains what the FE ITE bursary is for, and how much funding is available for eligible subjects. Applications are now open.
The guidance advises how to:
- assess eligibility
- apply, using the form on this page
For providers awarded funding, it explains:
- the bursary funding cycle
- how to pay trainees
- how to manage withdrawals and deferrals
It also sets out the requirements you must meet on:
- monitoring and assurance
- keeping records
